What this directory is

Perth Reno Hub is an independent directory covering 120 renovation contractor businesses across Perth metro. It exists for homeowners who are trying to work out which local builder, kitchen renovator, bathroom specialist or extension contractor is actually worth calling, without wading through pages of paid ads dressed up as recommendations. If you are comparing a handful of tradies before you pick up the phone, this site is built for you.

We are not a review platform and we do not host reviews ourselves. Instead we pull public business data and we read and synthesise recent Google reviews for each business, then summarise the general sentiment in plain language. We never republish review text, and every listing links out to the business’s own Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself.

How rankings actually work

Every ranking on this site comes from a published rubric applied to data we collect, nothing else. That rubric covers things like review volume, review recency, rating trends and consistency of public business information. It is laid out in full on our methodology page, so you can check our working rather than take our word for it.

Businesses that appear on Perth Reno Hub can request corrections to their own factual details, things like their address, phone number, trading hours or services offered. What they cannot do is edit their own score, their sentiment summary or their position in the rankings. Those are calculated the same way for every listing, paid or not.

Sponsorship, clearly separated

Some pages on this site include sponsored placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored,” shown in a separate section from the earned rankings, and never blended into the ranked list itself. Paying for a sponsored spot does not move a business up the rubric-based ranking, and it never changes its score.

We should be upfront about the rest of the model too. Perth Reno Hub is an independent directory and comparison resource, and we also generate enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with someone, we pass your enquiry to a provider relevant to your request and we may receive a referral fee for that. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings, and the quote page spells this out again before you submit anything.

Who is behind it

This directory is published by Scout Local Media, an independent Australian publisher that has run it since 2026. Scout Local Media builds directories from published reviews and public business data, ranks listings by merit rather than payment, and refreshes its data every month so listings stay current. Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Omar Costa, Editor in Chief, who is responsible for how the rubric is applied across every listing. Each listing also carries a “last verified” stamp, so you can see at a glance when it was last checked as part of our monthly refresh cycle.
